At FG, we pride ourselves on being responsible glass processors. We’re founding members of two of India’s glass processing organisations – Federation of Safety Glass (FOSG) and Glazing Society of India (GSI). FOSG is a pan-India association of 90% of India’s glass processors while GSI has been instrumental in the testing of processed glass in India. Apart from helping establish these organisations, we are extremely active members of these groups and have helped set industry-specific benefits and norms for years. Through these organisations, we have set industry benchmarks for quality and continuously promote rigorous testing. We aim to ensure that every piece of glass processed in India meets the highest international standards.
Federation of Safety Glass (FOSG)
The FOSG focuses on growing the market and setting quality norms for all glass processors across the country. The organisation reviews the growth of the glass market in India and stays updated on the latest market demands. Most importantly, the FOSG’s highest priority is highlighting the interests of every processor in the country. The organisation has helped implement procedures and protocols that help make workplaces more secure while also ensuring that the glass being processed adheres to international safety requirements.
Glazing Society of India (GSI)
GSI is a not-for-profit organisation that is committed to enhancing the performance of architectural glass across the country. Several industry stakeholders have come together to form this society and work on testing, regulations, research, codes and certifications for architectural glass and glazing systems. GSI hopes to develop and augment India’s testing infrastructure and provide authentic, third-party testing services not just for glass and glazing products, but for all the associated materials that influence performance as well.
Glass Academy
Glass Academy is an industry-professional academia interface that pioneers knowledge dissemination among various stakeholders. The academy brings tother information and knowledge from industry leaders and pioneers and then educates and develops skills of the various stakeholders to fulfill the potential of glass in contemporary building spaces. Being a member of the board, FG Glass plays a significant role in propelling these activities and to make the industry more organized and knowledge-driven.
