The Pragati Maidan Integrated Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre (IECC) is a prestigious redevelopment initiative undertaken in Delhi. The project transforms an expansive exhibition area into a world-class facility that caters to large-scale conventions, exhibitions, and global events. Managed by ITPO under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, the IECC is set to become the largest exhibition center in North India. 

FG Glass was entrusted with providing premium-quality glass solutions that aligned with the ambitious design envisioned by Arcop. The project required the integration of multiple glass technologies, including Digital Printed Glass and a combination of DGU (Double Glazed Unit) with Lamination, ensuring aesthetic appeal, energy efficiency, and safety. 

FG Glass Contribution & Challenges 

Key Glass Features: 

• Combination of DGU + Lamination: This advanced glazing solution provided enhanced insulation, soundproofing, and structural integrity. 

• Digital Printed Glass: Used to create visually striking facades while maintaining durability and resistance to external elements. 

• Sustainability Focus: The project adhered to eco-friendly material use, ensuring energy efficiency and compliance with green building standards. 

FG Glass Challenge & Innovative Solution: 

One of the most challenging aspects of the project was processing Jumbo Glass panels with DGU holes. The combination of DGU + Lamination with precise hole configurations posed significant technical challenges, demanding extreme precision and cutting-edge fabrication techniques. This complex requirement was successfully executed by FG Glass’s specialized factory team, leveraging their expertise and advanced machinery to ensure flawless execution. 

Project Outcome & Impact 

The ITPO project stands as a landmark achievement in architectural glazing, setting new standards for innovation and excellence. FG Glass played a critical role in ensuring that the glass elements met the highest quality standards, contributing to the aesthetic and functional success of the project. The seamless execution of this complex glazing solution reinforced FG Glass’s position as a leader in high-performance architectural glass solutions. 

The ITPO Convention Centre now serves as an iconic venue in Delhi, offering a modernized space for international trade fairs, conferences, and exhibitions, all while showcasing the architectural brilliance made possible by advanced glass engineering.
